Union Hall

Although built for the Episcopalians, this hall is best remembered for the name given to it by the Literary Society Union.

It stood just before the Nethergate, in the middle of the High St, with its east face directly opposite the Trades Hall. Twenty years after its construction it was considered an eyesore and inconvenient for west bound traffic. K. Nichols 03/09
