Dunnydeer House Chapel, Insch

National Grid Reference (NGR): NJ 61840 27940, map

Dunnideer Hill
AB52 6LW

This possible chapel site may be associated with the castle site at the summit of Dunnideer Hill (see other site, Dunnideer Chapel Site, Insch) and indeed a duplicate. The Ordnance Survey plotted the site of a chapel here based on the testimony of a local man interviewed by them in the 1860s. The site plotted is on the edge of a former arable field, which is now on the edge of a new golf course. There is no sign of any possible site here.
