Introduction

This is the site of early medieval conventual buildings, which are located within the ruins of Dunfermline Abbey in the 'Fraser Range'. The original conventual buildings of the Abbey were destroyed by Edward ! in 1303, but restoration work started soon after and a new rectory was built here. See separate site, Dunfermline Abbey for more information and photos.
