Westfield, Kintrae

A 13th century charter (1203-1222) states that an 'old' church stood on ground that is now part of a cultivated arable field. There was a graveyard alongside the church. There is no trace of the church or graveyard today, except as possible crop marks on aerial photographs (reported by RCAHMS). Fragments of stonework are reported to be sometimes seen in the field when it is ploughed.
