Introduction

A beautiful church with a stepped gable and a bellcote with stepped top.

It sits on the A831 some five miles west of Drumnadrochit, deep within the glen and on the sloping north shore of Loch Meiklie.

Description (exterior)

The church is painted white with stone gables and a slate roof. There is an ornate iron gate at the entrance.

The churchyard lies within the grounds on a slope towards the loch.

Within this graveyard is an unusual iron mortsafe.

Description (interior)

The walls inside the church are painted white and the wooden pews face the modern stained glass windows by Emma Shipton of Alloa.

Set into the altar is a stone cross, taken from the chapel on the north side of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness, near the hamlet of St Ninians.
